1.Compare and Contrast the Loving Kindness exercise and the Subtle Mind exercise. Explain your experience including the benefits, frustrations, etc.
I have to say that I wasn't too impressed with this exercise. I know that I have a lot on me right now and I am juggling a lot and have a lot of stress that I am dealing with so I may not be giving these exercises the time and attention that I should be.
I feel that the Loving Kindness exercise was easier for me to perform, but I liked the Subtle Mind one better overall. I am thinking that I may go back and try these exercises again when I don't have so much on my mind.
I do know that these exercises can have a great benefit for my life and I will definitely give them another chance when I am better suited and don't have so much stress on my life.

Unit 4: Loving-kindness
After reading chapter 6 and listening to the tracks on the cd I have come to the conclusions that the loving kindness exercise was not really for me.
I found the mans voice to be rather hard to follow. I was more focused and enlightened by the females voice and found myself to be more relaxed when listening to her voice. I enjoyed the ocean sounds in the pauses and thought that was very relaxing to me. I found myself to be very focused and enlightened during the subtle mind exercise. During the subtle mind exercise I felt very light, very focused, and very refreshed.
With my hectic lifestyle I don't think that I will be able to fit the loving kindness exercise into my daily life but I know that I will be able to fit the subtle mind exercise into my daily life routine. I think that I will be able to clear my mind using the subtle mind techniques. I think that this is going to help me destress in my everyday life.
I would definitely recommend the subtle mind exercise to everyone that I know and I will explain to them how it helps you relax and focus. I thinkt hat a lot of my friends will be able to benefit from this exercise on a daily basis.
A mental workout is just as important as a physical workout. Of course, during a mental workout we are using our minds and our brains instead of our body. Just as you have to keep working out to stay physically fit you have to keep using your mind to keep it sharp. I feel that you can practice the mental part of the workout and help maintain your overall wholeness as a person.

Journey On Relaxation Exercise
Hello all,
I enjoyed performing the relaxation exercise and I found that it was quite helpful in becoming more relaxed and being able to focus better for the rest of the day. As I was doing the exercise I did notice that my hands felt very heavy and were difficult to move. I tried to rotate them and I wasn't able to. Although, I liked the exercise and I enjoyed doing it I was not that impressed by the narration of the audio. I though the guys voices sounded choppy and the pauses between words was rather lengthy.
I am looking forward to the next exercise and I think that I will find a way to try and incorporate some of these exercises into my everyday life, but with my hectic schedule it is going to be very difficult.

Welcome Statement
Hello all,
This is the first time I have ever used a blog or created one, so I hope that everyone will bare with me as I learn how to do this. I have added everyones blog url to my reading list and I am looking forward to reading what everyone has to say. I am hoping to learn a lot in this class and I like having the blog to use for a more informal type of discussion than the discussion board each week.
